Washington Demilitarization Company, LLC is a subsidiary of Washington
Group International (Washington Group). Washington
Group has a long history of involvement with small
business (SB), small disadvantaged business (SDB),
and women-owned small business (WOSB) subcontracting.
In 1963, Washington Group was in the original group
of defense prime contractors to participate in the Voluntary Small
Business Subcontracting Program sponsored jointly by the Department
of Defense and the Small Business Administration. The company's "Minority
Business Subcontracting Program" was
started in 1972, long before either law or regulation
required such an effort. |
